Anoushka Shankar
Anoushka is an American British musician and sitarist. She is the youngest woman and the first to receive the British House of Commons shield. Anoushka Shankar is among India's rising stars in the sitar. She is the student and daughter of Ravi Shankar. Her birthplace was London in 1982. In the first few years of her life she was split between London New Delhi. Her debut concert was on stage in New Delhi at the tender age of 13. She graduated in 1999 from her high school studies within Encinitas CA. Anouskha was only a teenager, has had a successful performing and recording career. Her father has accompanied her in many performances for several years. In 1998, she debuted her debut self-titled album Anourag. It was followed by the album Live At Carnegie Hall, a Grammy-nominated album a year following. She has performed at most major venues around the globe. Anoushka isn't just a musician. Bapi The love of my life is an illustrated biographie she penned in 2002. The book pays tribute to her father, who passed away in 2002. Ravi Shankar. in 2003 she was a part in Dance Like a Man as the Bharat Natyam performer. Anoushka shankar is a rising star and her career is expected to continue growing. Anoushka lived a long traveling between London and Delhi during her young years. Then, she relocated to California to attend high school. She began learning music at age 9 and played the sitar in celebration of the 75th anniversary the birth of her father in Delhi four years later. Anoushka performed with her father during his world tour, gained an impressive quantity of knowledge. As a teenager, she appeared at Carnegie Hall as part of Peter Gabriel's WOMAD and even recorded with George Harrison. In recognition of being an outstanding musician in the field of Asian Arts, she was presented with the House of Commons Shield by British parliament.
